This red Saint-Chinian (from north of Béziers, South of France) is cultivated according to natural methods (AB label – organic culture). Full-bodied with aromas of black fruit, laurel and cocoa, it will be an excellent companion for lamb or roasted duck.
Occitania is unusually well suited to ‘difficult’ food combinations, such as salads, asparagus, artichokes and so on, and happily accompanies Asian as well as European food. It is a unique wine, being the first and until very recently, the only modern Mauzac bottled under the Limoux label.
A full-bodied Minervois red. The aromas of red and black fruit develops over notes of Spring garrigue scrub and finishes on sweet spicy notes. A very agreeable vintage of character, to be tasted now as the tannins are so subtle.
The nose, associating fruit and floral scents, plums and violets, black olives and dried herbs, is extremely complex. Powerful and concentrated, the palate is sustained by wonderfully elegant tannins which develop impressive structure and length.
