Details
The domaine de Cébène is a vineyard with amazing terroirs. Seduced by the potential and promise of shale, Brigitte Chevalier acquired her first vineyard plots in 2007, in Faugères, at the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut-Languedoc. She gave the name Cébène to this adventure, echoing the goddess of Languedoc who inspired the name of the Cevennes. From the vines to the north, with their unique geology and authentic varieties, rooted on the windswept heights came very limited returns ... Then at the winery, a maturation at the service of the freshness of the wines and the perfection of flavour.
"I wanted to create northern wines in the South of France" summarizes Brigitte Chevalier. From the very first vintage, style and delicacy of her wines have conquered the best tables, demonstrating her talent for magnifying the expression of these amazing terroirs.
Within a few vintages, the domaine has established itself as a leader of its appellation, resulting in the some of the highest awards from the circle of winemakers of the French ‘grand sud’.
