Claire and Clément Mengus created their cellars in 2005, converting their vineyard to organic culture, located 10 minutes north of the medieval Cité of Carcassonne in the heart of the Cabardès appellation. 15 hectares of vines and Mediterranean heath-land surround the domaine on the stony foothills of the Montagne Noire, the soil composed alternatively of two types of terroir, the 'Ventenac' type of marl, chalk and clay and the 'Montolieu' type of fossilitic chalk, producing grapes of diverse styles and exceptional quality.
