Domaine de Baronarques, La Capitelle 2019

Bought in December 1998 under the name Domaine de Lambert by the Baronne Philippine de Rothschild and her two sons, this ancient property which was created in the 17th century, has undergone important restoration and modernisation of its vineyards and cellars. In 2003, the Domaine de Lambert devient Domaine de Baron’Arques. The vineyard is located near the village Saint-Polycarpe in the upper valley terroir (the highest and freshest of all Limoux terroirs), where the Mediterranean terroir (hot and dry) meets the Autan terroir (hot and humid). It thereby benefits from the climatic influence of these three terroirs, a considerable advantage for the complexity of the wines produced here. The Baron'Arques vineyard is situated between 250 and 350m in alttitude. The soil is mainly clay and limestone with some plots of sand and gravel.
