Christophe Barbier's vines are located near Fleury in the Aude department at the foot of the La Clape hill range. On an ancient salt marsh the vines are partially direct plants without grafting. The soil is flooded during the winter to avoid salt saturation during the rest of the year. The Bourboulenc is well adapted to this particular terroir, the first planted white variety of grapes in the La Clape vineyards.
