Details

The 30 hectares of vines of the Château Pech-Redon are planted in the midst of garrigue type scrubland at an altitude of 200m overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The warmth and beauty of these landscapes are reflected in the domaine's wines. The La Clape terroir, a chaos of stones and aromatic Mediterranean plants, gorged with the sun and dried by the Cers wind, is nevertheless fresh because of the deep clay soils : "The terroir is unique here, the soil deriving from the erosion of cliffs on a deep base of clay which preserves the vineyards from the effects of droughts", explains Christophe Bousquet. Since 2005 his vines are cultivated organically.
