The Domaine des Lanes is part of Château La Baronne cultivating grapes for fresh, young wines. At the Château La Baronne an enthusiastic team cultivates vines organically in the heart of the superb Alaric mountain terroir at 150m in altitude, south-east of Carcassonne. The Lignères family take particular care to preserve their vineyard's environment and soils, an excellent example of vine culture for this exceptional terroir of the Languedoc-Roussillon. At La Baronne, traditional grape varieties of the Languedoc have always been important… but the Lignères Family has a special affection for Carignan, constantly striving to heighten the expression, finesse and elegance of this emblematic variety of the region. The domaine is proud to cultivate one of the oldest Carignan vines of the Languedoc dating back to 1892.
