Red Minervois wines on Languedoc Wineshop : The Minervois vineyard is one of the largest of the Languedoc Roussillon. There are 3 disctinct AOC's in this area : AOC Minervois, AOC Minervois – La Livinière and Muscat de Saint Jean de Minervois. Located on the chalk and limestone foothills of the Montagne Noire, vineyards are located at 50m in altitude near the banks of the Midi canal, climbing up to more than 500m. AOC since 1999, the Minervois La Livinière appellation is in the heart of the Minervois area on the grounds of 6 villages producing only red wines.
