Details

Located near La Palme, looking out towards Mediterranean sea, the Domaine des Mille Vignes was created by Jacques Guérin in 1979 when he bought his first 1000 vine plants. He was one of the first vineyard owners in the Languedoc to produce personal wines like an author on a small scale, respecting the ecological balance of the terroir and his vines ; organic fertilisation, short pruning, green harvesting in the spring to reduce yields. The Mourvèdre, Grenache and Carignan vines are between 18 and 100 years old. To obtain the best possible extraction from the grapes the long macerations last for up to 33 days in small tanks with regular immersion of the crust and pumping of the juice from the bottom to the top of the tanks. Yields are low and precise attention is paid to every stage of production from the vineyard to the cellar.
