From the fabulous La Clape vineyards on a plateau surrounded by scrubland overlooking the Mediterranean sea, this wine is 'made to measure' from low yielding vines. Blended from a majority of Mourvèdre, this is a juicy, deep, rich, complex Mediterranean wine developing scents of wild plants, dried herbs with superb oak ageing. Decanter and taste with a rare rib of beef or rich stew. The expert point of view : “Red fruits, garrigue scrub, very fresh, sappy, grey pepper, persistent, elegant.”


Sarrat de Goundy is a family venture created in 2000 by Claude and Rosy Calix and their son Olivier. The domaine is located near the village Armissan between Narbonne and the Mediterranean sea, in the heart of the superb La Clape terroir. This unique site is protected as part of the Narbonnaise Natural Park. The countryside of scrubland and pine woods is an ideal environment for the harmonious development of vines.
